Bo Pepper are a four-piece, female fronted indie/punk band from London. Their sock puppet-fronted imagery has brought them cult status and worldwide interest. Bo Pepper formed just ten months ago but in that time the band have been featured three times on www.perezhilton.com, won an unsigned band competition with Q magazine, featured in Dazed and Confused and Music Week magazine, secured a synch for an online coca cola ad campaign and played many gigs, including one for MTV Italy and one for Channel 4 UK. Sonically they fit somewhere between The Strokes, PJ Harvey and Iggy Pop. Their lust for life songs and attitude are winning them a great deal of radio support in the UK, with plays on Radio 1, Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and Virgin as well as in the USA- with several plays on Indie 103.1FM amongst others and stations in Australia (Triple J) and Germany (Motor FM). However, the thing that makes them stand out from the crowd is their unique puppety imagery- created by Pennymix Films. The band's stop animation videos have so far notched up over 700,000 hits on the web. The puppet imagery was born out of the band being too lazy to have a photoshoot but strangely has morphed into a unique selling point! Bo Pepper's EP, Blinkandyou'llmissit! is currently available to download on Itunes and the band are currently working on their live shows and demoing new material. They have been approached by notable producers such as Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) and are excited about their very bright future.
