Startup Metrics for Pirates: AARRR!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This panel features a simple 5-step model you can use to make better decisions for your startup in product and marketing. Attend the session and you will learn how the model works, and how to apply it to your business. The model focuses on measuring user activity at five basic levels of conversion: 1) Acquisition, 2) Activation, 3) Retention, 4) Referral, and 5) Revenue (AARRR!). Examples & variations on the model will be explored for several types of internet startups including: a content & community site, an e-commerce site, and a social networking app / widget for Facebook & other social networks. The session will cover how to define a basic customer conversion model; select & evaluate marketing channels, test & modify landing pages for user activation, setup simple email strategies for user retention, choose which users to target for viral marketing campaigns, and design a business model that won't cost you an arm & a leg. Oh yeah, and you'll get to hear 200 people talk like a pirate, all at the same time. AARRR!
