Playing a nitrous injected mixture of 50's and 70's rock & roll, white trash blues, dirty old-school country, and muscle car psychobilly. Black Top Demon is known for their full-throttle energy, and a live show that teeters on the edge of detonation. In the drivers seat is infamous front-man and guitarist Joe Ty. Notorious for one handed, quick shifting solos, and shooting fireballs. Behind the head, eyes closed, balancing on bars and knocking your drink over. Joe Ty is as tough looking as a 426 Hemi, and has all the muscle and talent to back it up. In the passenger seat, navigating and making sure the band stays on the road is Ian Pearson. His high horsepower drumming helps the band stay together in all the gears and get the most out of their full range of RPM's and sounds. From fast to slow, he can handle all the power the band throws at him, and never lets them blow the motor. James Attwood provides the thick, low end grunt needed to break the tires loose around the corners, and high torque that powers the band off the line. Like a vintage Cherrybomb muffler, his bass will set off car alarms, and shatter windows as the band speeds past. The band as a whole, is a solid machine, capable of winning every race. Be it at a bar, all ages club, or dominating the streets with their renegade van shows. They have laid rubber patches across the western side of America, and they can regularly be found playing in seedy biker bars, and to hundreds of screaming teenagers in Seattle, Portland Olympia, Tacoma, and even in Aberdeen, Washington. where the band started tuning their sound, and racing toward fame. As the "Tacoma Weekly Volcano" put it: "...With rockabilly thrusters on high, incredible punk stage antics (anyone spitting flame?) and enough sheer volume shooting off the stage to make you wonder where the rest of the band is...Black Top Demon is literally on fire."
