"I hear there is a scene called New Rave in London, while in Osaka, Japan, a shocking scene is coming out. In the center of it are EERECTIONN and DAMAGE. DAMAGE's sound is the newest cool music from Japan and it deserves to be called New Beat, Body Music and New Rave." (April, 2007) -Kenji Kubo (music journalist / ex photographer of NME & MELODY MAKER) Damage's biography: Damage is a six-piece band on a bass synthesizer, and it started in Osaka on April fool's day in 2003. Holding their thrilling and fascinating electro sound, they have played with various artists, such as SOME GIRLS (from THE LOCUST), DOPE (from U.S.), VERMILION SANDS, KID606 (from TIGERBEAT6), and CEEPHAX ACID CREW (from REPHLEX). Their first demo that Koichi Hara, BOREDOMS' engineer, recorded in 2003 sold limited 1,000 copies at the gigs in the wink of an eye, and it was praised as "the single of the year" on Crossbeat magazine, a major Japanese rock magazine. In 2006, their first album “SIGNAL NEWYORK” was released and has sold over 3,000 copies. Moreover, in 2007, they released mini album "MUDMIX" including Justin Pearson (from THREE ONE G / THE LOCUST) remix, CYCHEOUTS GHOST (from ROMZ / SUBURBAN TRASH) remix and so on. DAMAGE's sound that has taken in electro, new wave, body-beat and hip-hop resounds even with New Rave sounds, which have been disorderly born at the same time all over the world.
