HOT AS HELL WAREHOUSE ROCK OUFIT TRASH FASHION RELEASE THEIR NEXT EP ‘WHY CANT WE BE FRIENDS?' ON MARCH 10th 2008 Formed as a 2-piece in 2004 brothers Jet Storm (vocals) and Mason Storm (guitar) have fleshed out their act, joined now by K-Bomb (Bass) & Bam Bam (Drums). With a fusion of diverse influences (dance, rock, rave, emo, hardcore, hair metal) Trash Fashion have created a unique, catchy and attention-grabbing sound. Their incendiary 4-man, full band, live show has seen them playing massive shows at The Scala, AITBF @ Canvas, supporting Faithless @ Birmingham NIA, Rio Club in Berlin, Vega in Copenhagen and Cinespace in L.A. as well as a number of dates across Europe and a 2-week tour in the US. Trash Fashion have built up a huge gang of followers, creating a colourful scene in their wake. Their first single ‘It’s a Rave Dave’ was given a limited DIY 10” only release in December 2006 and quickly sold out – sending 1000 copies of luminous yellow vinyl into the world. The band are currently hard at work in the studio finishing the tracks for the forthcoming Why Cant We Be Friends? EP set for release in March 2008. The lead track, already a highlight of Trash Fashion’s bone-shaking live set, has been re-worked beefed up and is a prime example of Trash Fashion’s new heavier direction – an incendiary mix of thumping bass, driving frantic synths and shattering screams. 2007 has been rammed for Trash Fashion, who are quickly emerging as one of this year’s hardest working acts. Out on the road Trash Fashion toured far and wide, including; a 30 date UK tour which included stopping off at some of the UK’s ever swelling all/under-age clubs, pan-European gigs – Barcelona, Prague, Amsterdam and Oslo to name a few, Insomniacs Ball, 4 appearances at In The City Music conference, including playing industry tipsters Record of the Day’s 5th Birthday and, most recently, a special guest DJ set at Jodie Harsh’s Circus. After the success of their debut EP Mom & Daddy (released October 2007) the hotly anticipated follow-up will ensure that 2008 will be equally fruitful, with plans already afoot for another mammoth tour revisiting friends and fans from Glasgow to Moscow, Venice to New York. Influences from Blackstrobe, Tiga etc, through Daft Punk, Altern8, Prodigy etc, to Shalamar, Prince, Wacko etc, ending up at Guns and Roses, Metallica and the sweet sweet Maiden.
