Sean Price (a.k.a. Ruck of Heltah Skeltah) came to fame as one half of the hip-hop super-group Heltah Skeltah. Appearing with Rock on the group’s now classic Nocturnal LP in 1996 and then again on 1998’s Magnum Force, Sean Price showed off his deft verbal abilities. Released in 2005, Sean Price’s first solo album Monkey Barz exploded out of the box, garnering ecstatic praise from the hip-hop press. Featuring production by Justus League founder 9th Wonder, Agallah, Khrysis, and P.F. Cuttin (among others) the album was deemed Independent Album of the Year by not only hallowed rap magazine, The Source, but also influential Internet sources Allhiphop.com, hiphopsite.com and soundslam.com. Considered to be the hardest workingman in hip-hop (tracks with Destiny’s Child, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Wu-Tang). Sean Price is featured prominently on Boot Camp Clik’s third and fourth group releases, The Last Stand (2006) and Casualties of War (2007). Sean Price released his second solo project in 2007, entitled Jesus Price Supastar, featuring production by 9th Wonder, Khrysis, G-Unit’s, Ill Mind, PF Cuttin, MOSS, and more. The album features Buckshot, Rock, of Heltah Skeltah, Steele, of Smif N Wessun, Sadat-X, Ruste Juxx, and Little Brother. iTunes proclaimed “Jesus Price Supastar” one of the top 10 Hip Hop albums of 2007.
