Dan Sweeney, Relix Magazine Formed in late 2005, The Heavy Pets are a traveling American Rock 'n' Roll band that are best known for their explosive live performances and deep catalog of original compositions. The bands' members have been writing and performing music together in various projects since 1996 when the founders of the band, Jeff, Mike, and Joe met in Goshen N.Y. Now based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, The Heavy Pets have spent the last two years touring nationally and recording their double disc debut album "Whale" which was released in May of 2007.
