Formed in the summer of 2005, The Service Industry fused various band members’ life experiences of working thankless restaurant and bar jobs with sharp pop hooks into a poisonous tirade against the failure of the American Dream with their debut album, Ranch Is The New French in a matter of thirteen months. The band have finished their sophmore effort in the time frame it takes to grow a human baby, delivering the new survivalist rock and roll album, “Limited Coverage”, which also features the wonderfully inventive guitar stylings of Curt Kirkwood of The Meat Puppets, and will be released on Hickoid frontman, Jeff Smith’s Sauspop Label this February. Comprised of veterans of the heralded Austin Music Scene (Wannabes, The Diamond Smugglers, and Wayouts), The Service Industry do not disappoint on the follow up meshing melodic, raucous, time clock, power pop tunes with blue collar ballads that swing with hard knock sensitivity.
