ApSci's first album took a 'Quannum' leap forward when Blackalicious' Chief XCel called the band and offered to release the album worldwide. The record featured several talented friends such as Tunde of TV on the Radio, Mr Lif (Def Jux), and Pigeon John, but one of the groups strongest assets was the voice of singer Dana Diaz-Tutaan. "Her voice is the magnet... It steps tartly into the foreground, floats blissfully above the beat, multiplies into jazzy harmonies or beckons from unlikely corners of the mix." -The New York Times Its been a busy year for ApSci. Ra & Dana, Quannum's electro-hop couple have trekked around the world a few times in search of the perfect beat. Rocking crowds in Paris, London, Malaysia, Australia & the USA... Collaborating with the likes of David Byrne & Fatboy Slim (Dana performed for their Here Lies Love production), the Plump DJs (Ra's voice sampled and featured on their new album), and sharing the stage with Spank Rock, Blackalicious, Lyrics Born, and DJ Dexter of the Avalanches among others. Their new album is newly mastered, and slated for release worldwide next year.
